Paradise Point is located an hour and 15 minutes straight up north from Dhaka.  From Zia International Airport, it is approximately 65 kilometers north, past Tongi, past the National Forest, and past such locations as Fu-wang Foods, and RAK Ceramics, (these serve as guide posts as they are clearly visible from the highway).  After an hour or so of normal driving from the Zia International Airport circle, watch for a brick gate like column on each side of the highway which divides Gazipur district from Mymensingh District. (the columns say something to the effect “Welcome to Zila Parishad Mymensingh”). The bazaar just before this gate is called Joina Bazaar. Around one Km ahead on the right hand side of the highway you should have just passed a brick boundary wall with a sign “Esquire Spinning”.   A few hundred feet ahead,  watch for a small green sign “Paradise Point, a peaceful easy feeling”, on the left side of the highway. Fronting the property, rows and rows of mahogany trees camouflage the paradise within.  Enter the gate, drive all the way back  and enter Paradise.

The land area of Paradise Point is 5.5 acres, of which 3.5 acres are dedicated to the mahogany plantation, and 2 acres at the rear of the property consist of gardens, the bungalow, a 15000 sft pond stocked with Pangash fish.  Lovely walkways, gazebos, and flowers abound this area.

The bungalow has two bedrooms/two baths, living/dining combination and a kitchen.  There is a huge verandah (my favorite) and a large tiled deck where one can sit and relax overlooking the pond.  Adjacent is a large aviary with many kinds of birds.  Inside the bungalow, along with all furniture,  a  stereo system/tv/vcd player (movies) are available for your enjoyment.  Various other games such as backgammon, scrabble, chess, and darts are also available.

Should one care to try a bit of angling, there is a small wooden country boat and a rod/reel can be provided.  There is nothing more delicious than catching a fish and then having it served within a short while.  Believe me folks, it doesn’t get any fresher.
